Agecroft Hall & Gardens
Romantic, historic, elegant, and a little bit magical. Agecroft has an old-world European feel that works beautifully for couples who want something more distinctive than a typical park setting.
📍Richmond, Virginia
Agecroft Hall & Gardens is a historic Tudor-style estate featuring intricate timbered architecture, formal gardens, stone pathways, mature greenery, a sunken garden, expansive lawns, and wooded trails. The gardens were designed in partnership with landscape architect Charles Gillette and include terraces and garden spaces inspired by Hampton Court Palace.
The aesthetic:
Romantic, historic, elegant, and a little bit magical. Agecroft has an old-world European feel that works beautifully for couples who want something more distinctive than a typical park setting. The Tudor architecture creates a dramatic backdrop, while the gardens offer softer, more natural portraits. The combination of stone, greenery, manicured garden rooms, winding paths, and historic architecture makes this location especially fitting for engagements, couples portraits, elopements, and editorial-style sessions.
Parking:
Agecroft has free on-site parking, including handicap accessible parking. There is a large accessible parking area approximately 300–350 feet from the main accessible entrance.
Photography reservations:
Professional photography sessions require advance reservations and payment through Agecroft Hall & Gardens. Walk-in professional sessions should not be assumed to be permitted. The venue specifically lists its gardens and grounds as available to rent for professional photography.
Photography cost:
Professional photography mini sessions start at $53 for the permit only. The final price depends on the length of the session, number of participants, and any special requests. Contact Agecroft Hall & Gardens for current pricing and availability.
